Psychic Hunter

Two creatures, grotesque in figure, tall and lanky in stature with a deep purple hue to their skin one stood, the other slightly aloft from the dark stone beneath them. Both watched their ‘herd’ of enslaved townsfolk worked hard, on hands and knees uncovering the remnants of a long forgotten set of ruins. The large stone door to the ruins still partially buried as the structure had sank into the earth many centuries ago.

It took months to find the location of structure, weeks to prepare, and days to dig out. But soon enough, what lay beyond those door would be theirs. Finally, after so long, the secrets of the One Mind would become part of their personal collection.

-“So close.” One looked to the other, a mental link between the two enabled communication without need for words.

-“Close enough.” The other returned.

Its companion nodded in affirmation and raised a hand as its palm drew upon its personal prowess with psychic energy. This second creature then created a rapidly condensing pressure as it aimed at the enslaved folk. They continued to work, oblivious as each of them were bound by the ankle by a thick chain. This chain was not welded by hand, but by a mentally empowered band which pulsated with an ominous glow.

The orb of pressure suddenly fluxed, becoming volatile as the figure gurgled and sputtered. Its companion looked over, sensing the fluctuation in power, eyes widening at the large blade that pieced it from behind. Ran though, the life shed from its eyes. The body slumped from the blade, a falchion now coated in the viscous dark purple gore. A well muscled half-orc glared at the still floating creature, as the energy erupted outward in every direction. The creature was thrown back and off the stone ledge into the muck of the swamp below. The enslaved folk quickly turned towards the burst – some shaking off the effect of control – but all too late, and many were thrown into the mud.

Staring up at the half-orc, the creature pulled at its own prowess with psychic energies and released a powerful blast upwards. The half-orc launched himself from the ledge, and cut through the blast before he landed in front of the creature. A single swift slash of his blade bisected the creature. Terror, hope, uncertainty in all shapes flooded the now-freed slaves. The half-orc turned to the townsfolk and their shackles and drove his blade, shattering their bonds and ensuring their freedom.

-“Quickly, time to flee.” He urged, the moment of hesitation soon became the echoes of a cavern that rattled with chains in motion.

You also are extremely resistant to Mind-Affecting Effects of all sorts, making you a great wizard/psion slayer.

Near the ruins, a massive boar stood guard, hidden from direct sight just beyond the ledge of stone that sunk into a swamp-like marsh surrounding a recently dug up structure. As the group of lycanthropes arrived at the ruins, it hid and projected its mind forward, allowing it to read the mind of the party in turn. A guide and hunter, two werewolves, a… The boar grunted, seeing nothing in their intent that should alarm him. The boar discreetly made his way around them. They were here for the ruins, but they already knew of what was inside, and were there to destroy it.

They could try, but the ruins guardian doubted they could even come close to do so.

Psionic Druid. Wild Shape+Natural Spell+Psionics for absolute chaos on the battlefield.

You can use psionics while wild shaped, and with Natural Spells you can cast your druid spells too. With Aberration Wild Shape you can also take Aberration forms, and via Tashalatora you can dish out decent damage unarmed, which mixes terrifyingly well with animal forms (as iterative flurry of blows cumulative with natural weapons for downright stupid damage). The fact that you end up with 5th lvl psionic powers and 8th level spells is just insane, and you have a decently strong animal companion for support.

“There is no way we are exploring those creepy ruins without someone who can use a bow.” A young human woman in flowing purple robes growled to the tall man in full plate who stood beside her. He raised a brow slightly in bemusement, as he turned to her, the proud symbol of Pelor engraved into the chest of his armor glinting in the sun

-“I can use a bow just fine.” the heavily scarred dwarf sitting next to them interjected, as he sharpened the large axe which rested across his lap.

The woman furrowed her eyes at him, the dirty look directed back at her within moments by the now surly dwarf.

-“Perhaps, but being proficient and being good with a bow are two different things.” A halfling woman in tight fitted leathers and furs for warmth interposed, jumped between the two. The swift motion was met with the clatter of her twin shortswords as they the hard stone floor. The three turned back to meet the gaze of the wizard seated next to them. He had a cup of tea nestled gently in his palms that he was about to sip from

-“What, did you expect me to catch them?” He snapped, the man defended himself from the apparently accusatory glares.

The woman sighed aloud, her fingers laced into her robe sleeves before she spoke again. “The point is, if the maps we found of the ruins are true, we will need an expert archer to deal with some of the traps.”

-“Perhaps I could be of help then.” A voice called from the tavern doorway. The group of five saw a lithe, though fit looking older human male, stark white hair and with a longbow over his shoulder.

-“I also happen to know of your ruins. And I have…other expertise that will be useful there, that your maps do not detail…”

Psychic Warriors are fighters who can use psionic powers. Psionic powers make this class quite versatile in its abilities, allowing it flexibility a specialized fighter does not have. This specific build focuses on Archery, and with Greater Psionic Shot and Fell Shot, you can use your higher than usual PP Pool via Kalashtar to attack against Touch AC and deal heightened damage. You have powers that allow you to get larger (for even more damage) and increase your melee capabilities, allowing you to switch to your rapier and shield and get in the thick of a battle in the blink of an eye.

Deep in the sealed chamber, a man stood in stasis, the last guardian of the One Mind. He had accepted his role centuries before. His body was placed into temporal stasis for all those years. His mind however, was still awake, and it counted the hours, making sure it knew its role.

Feeling each and every movement, his mind observed the energies throughout the space of the ruin. He watched and waited. As the group grew closer, he could feel the stasis stutter, and it began to fail. As each defense in the ruin failed, as each protector fell. So too did the power holding the stasis in check. Finally, he could perform his duties as intended all those centuries ago.

They would not get past him. That much he was sure.

The stasis ended. The last defenses failed to halt the progress of the ruin’s invaders. He dropped to his knees out of shock, his body unfamiliar with the flesh and blood, the muscles were unresponsive. He tugged at them with his power to compensate, using them to lift his body. Finally, though slowly, he regained his footing as he awaited the arrival of whoever was intent of entering this most sacred of spaces.

The great door to the chamber opened, the figures walked in and the man raised a hand to the side. Again he tugged at his mental power, and formed a blade of pure thought. A wisp of energy, nothing more. But a great power held within.

-“I will not let them get to you.” The man said in a cold tone, his mind elsewhere as he pointed the blade out stretched.

You can enhance all of these styles with your psionic powers to great effects and can grapple very well. Not only that, but you’re extremely lethal against other psionic users, and can resist adverse mental effects that would shut down anyone else via Partition Mind.

“I am glad to see you again”. Said a woman clad in thick leathers, furs and feathers, ornament with bone and beads. Her outfit well-suited for traversing the woods and hunting. A sleek rifle slung over her shoulder as she regarded the tall man. His back rested firm against a tree leading to the woods beyond, as he regarded the sisters sternly. He held an simple affair of a rifle, and a cleaning rag.

She turned to her sister, who was dressed in white. “This is the man I told to you about, he can help.”

The sister nodded and intoned, “I heard you know your way around the ruins in that forest.”

The man smirked at her remark, “Yes, I do. Well enough to consider myself able to navigate them without getting overly lost.” He said, as he cleaned his rifle.

He continued, gruffly, “It’s a terrible place, an ancient place. You will need all the help you two can muster, and it just so happens that I owe this young wolf a favor.” He continued, patting the rifle and slinging it over his shoulder and onto his back before heading slowly into the forest.

The woman in the leathers smiled at her sister, giving a cheerful smile as she followed the man.

A third woman, appeared as if melding from the very forest, she wore a long, torn black coat with a broken silver sword at her hip and on the other, a mask of a black hound, “Us three you mean?”

The man stopped and realized another smell was coming from behind him. He turned, and saw the woman in the black coat a short distance ahead, as she stared off into the depth of the woods.

“No way…” he trailed off, the gruffness of earlier vacated his voice in his shock.

Goal

As a Weretiger, in hybrid form, your physical stats are raised to insane levels, and in tiger form, you are a deadly melee killing machine. As Tashalatora doesn’t actually require you to have monk levels, you can also fight unarmored with your fists as a monk, and with being proficient with firearms, you can deal severe ranged damage to boot without heavily investing in the combat style. Add to all that already massive combat arsenal psionic powers and you are one of the most versatile combatants out there, extremely capable at all ranges, from melee to sniping to mid distance with your psionic powers, you are stealthy via being a weretiger, and your hybrid form enhances all of those far beyond basic levels, making you rival even specialists in those fields. Not going to lie, probably one of if not the strongest builds in the classes so far without shenanigans, and rivaling some that do use shenanigans.
