Re’Ach – The Song of Creation – Stellar Dragon

Stellar Dragon

We dance upon the Stellar Dragon

For when time was yet unflowing

And when the distant stars were but children

There in the darkness between those luminous infants danced two dragons.

These two dragons danced a dance of death, for one had to die and the other had to live.

But neither knew which was to be which.

And so they danced in the void between the stars.

Their terrible dance lasted an aeon’s aeon. Stars birthed and died, yet neither dragon would tire.

Until at last, a misplace, a mistep. And the stellar ballet came to an abrupt end.

One dragon descendant

One dragon ascendant.

But even in his victory, that stellar dragon could only lick his wounds, and tears flew, for no longer he remembered why they danced so frenetically, only that by his own fangs and claws

He took away his only friend, the only being who would dance with him.

Hush now, dear dragon, rest. Sleep an eternity’s sleep. Your brother may one day come back from the underworld and wake you up

So that one day, dragons would dance again in the starry night.
